I am looking for a friend named Mary Lou Moffatt. I grew up with her in the oil fields of Rainbow Bend in Winfield, KS in the late 1950s and ’60s. Her parents were L.T. Moffatt and Ruby Moffatt. L.T. owned the Moffatt Oil Company in Ponca City. They moved to Ponca City in the late ’60s and Mary Lou graduated in the late ’60s but I don’t know what high school year she graduated. The YWCA Oklahoma City is seeking submissions for its new exhibit “The Hidden Truth.” The exhibit will honor victims of domestic violence and represent the widespread impact of abuse in our state. Submissions can be sent in by anyone whose life has been touched by domestic violence—survivors, friends, family members, co-workers or classmates. If domestic violence has made an impact on your life, this is your opportunity to share that story.
